Not just this drink used to save us from the scorching heat but also made us feel so fresh and energetic in a jiffy.

For those who don’t know, aam panna is a drink prepared using raw mangoes. The drink is traditionally enjoyed in the summers because it helps beat the hot summers. However, that’s not all. Here, we will be telling you why you should sip on this drink this summer. Read on.

During the hot summers, we need to keep ourselves hydrated and there is nothing better than a glass of aam panna. It helps in hydrating the body along with maintaining the electrolyte balance in the body. As you step out too much in the sun during summers, your body starts to lose iron. However, drinking a glass of aam panna prevents the loss of iron.

How To Make Aam Panna?

Ingredients Required

  • 2 Raw Mangoes
  • 2 Cups Water (For cooking mangoes)
  • 1.5 Cup Sugar Or Jaggery
  • 1 Tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 2 Tsp Black Salt
  • Chilled Water
  • Mint Leaves

Directions

  • In a pressure cooker, add mangoes and water. Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  • Remove the lid and peel the mangoes when cool.
  • In a bowl, transfer the mango pulp. Add sugar and mix well
  • Add cumin powder, black pepper powder, and black salt. Mix well. You can also use a blender.
  • Transfer this aam panna concentrate to a glass container.
  • Take 2-3 tbsp of aam panna concentrate in a glass. Add chilled water to it and mix well. Enjoy!
